You also have a Weather Project to complete by Tuesday January 15, 2013. For this project, you will need to gather weather data daily and record in on the blue weather reporting page handed out in class. There is space for days Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for you to record specific information for each day. Once you have the days filled out, you will write a summary over what weather patterns you discovered from the data you collected. You will also write a summary about what you learned about weather from your project. Below is an example of what the daily recording sheet looks like. I have also added information for you as well. You may get the weather data from any local news station, radio, websites, or weather apps on personal technology devices. I have weather websites listed that you may use for this project.
Temperature Hi/Low- You will record the high and low temperature for that day.
Wind Direction- You will record the wind direction for that day, and make a note if it changed because of a weather front moving in.
Cloud Cover- You will record whether it was cloud, partly cloudy, sunny, depending upon the cloud cover in the sky for that day.
Precipitation- You will record the amount of precipitation that accumulated for that day.
Humidity - You will record the humidity for that day.
Weather Systems- You will record if there are any weather fronts that are moving into the area that will affect our weather.
Severe Weather-You will record any severe weather that took place in our area in this space. Be sure to also include locations.
Other- You will record anything else that you observed during this project that you found interesting
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday’s data is due on
Friday. You will receive a homework
grade for these sections. Friday,
Saturday, and Sunday’s data is due on Monday.

discovered, and the summary for what you have learned is due on Tuesday January 15, 2013. Late assignments will only be accepted until
Thursday with points deducted for being turned in late. If not turned in by the end of Thursday, you
will receive a 0 for this project.
